When I’m not behind the lens, you can often find me exploring our beautiful countryside, soaking in the tranquillity of nature. And what’s the countryside stroll without a cosy pub pitstop?
Gardening is another one of my great loves. There’s something incredibly therapeutic about nurturing plants and watching them flourish. Plus, my garden doubles as a fantastic backdrop for photoshoots, and wedding shoots adding a touch of natural charm to each shot.
I’m also an enthusiastic member of the Got 2 Sing Choir, where the joy of music fills my heart with delight!
In my rare leisure moments, I love watercolour painting and exploring various artistic endeavours.
Living in Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove, alongside my husband Darren, who’s a skilled full-time commercial photographer, provides the perfect backdrop for our creative pursuits.

My journey in photography began many years ago when I embarked on a career as a wedding and portrait photographer in the heart of the West Midlands. After honing my skills at several esteemed studios, I took the leap and founded Julie King Photography in 1993. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless weddings and portraits, each one a unique story frozen in time.
